Start of a New Year(09/08/2005)
The start of another season in the Who Cares League started again on September 8th at West Acres Bowl. This day marked the beginning of the Hog Palace's quest to once again get into the rolloffs.
To help them in the journey, they have added two additional members to the roster. Donnie Graening has come back to the Hog Palace after taking a few years off. Along with him, the Hog Palace welcomes Josh Plamann and his large handicap.
With two new faces on the team, it brings the Hog Palace active roster up to eight people. Hopefully, they won't have to bowl short people at all this year.
Along with the new members, there have been a few changes in the league. One week of bowling now costs $13. This price is up one dollar from last year. That money should be coming back to the teams at the end of the year, as they are now paying each team 50 cents for each point the team gets over the course of the year.
Finally, as an added bonus, Cactus Jack's has brought back charitable gaming into the bar. Pull-tabs and Black Jack fills a void that was there for the most part of the last season. Now, if they only brought back Bingo they would be in business.
It looks like it is going to be another exciting season of Hog Palace bowling. Come one, come all to cheer on the Hog Palace as they take on the rest of the Who Cares League on Wednesday nights at West Acres Bowl.
