Results of 3rd Hog Palace Open

The Hog Palace took the traveling bowling show on the road this past weekend for the 3rd Open to Sunset Lanes in Moorhead, MN. The turnout was little off compared to the previous tournament. But still, 12 bowlers managed to show up, even 10 of them managed to show up sober.
The scores for this event were not as high as the previous tournament, but there were still some solid performances. Leading the way with a couple of 190 games and a 555 series was David. He would be the only bowler to bread the reachable 500 mark. Donnie was a distant second with a 492. On the ladies side, Rhonda turned in a 451 series, followed by Renee with a 445. Individually, Tommy was high scorer in the second game with a 180, followed closely by Jason G with a 177. Too bad Miffy sandwiched that game between a 100 and a 116. But the stallion of the day was Barry. He managed to throw a 126, 99, 95 and throw himself and his partner Donnie into dead last. Way to go Barry.
On the brighter side, David and Jason R, fueled by David's 555 series, were nestled on top of the pack. Surprisingly, Rhonda and Randy, fueled by 399 handicap pins, forced a tie with leaders. Coming in a close third was Tommy and Mike G, followed by Renee and Jason G in fourth. Sammi and Sabe managed to outscore Donnie and Barry by 14 pins and secure 5th place. But all was not lost for Donnie, he did manage to take the final money frame in the third game. The cash went to Sammi in the first game and Tommy in the second game.
Despite the turnout and the poor scores, the Hog Palace plans on taking one more shot at a tournament at the end of March, place is still to be determined. So plan on being there and lettin it fly one last time! See you on the lanes, Meat!
